WLM LEGAL - OUR STORY
WLM Legal began as William Llewellyn Meredith Barrister & Solicitor, a sole practice in Midland, WA in 2009.
WLM Legal's Principal, Bill Meredith is an experienced Family Lawyer who has worked in a variety of different legal fields. Bill found that his love for helping people led him to establish his own Family Law firm in Midland back in 2009.
Since establishment, WLM Legal has grown in size, but our focus has remained on providing a quality legal service to Family Law and Restraining Order clients at competitive rates.
Our ethos revolves around helping those in need and has been fashioned by a strong sense of justice, particularly in Family and domestic situations. We are proud to provide a legal service that cares about out clients.
We are pleased to be able to offer our trademark high quality representation and advice to clients at our new Inglewood offices. These offices are are conveniently located just off Beaufort Street at Unit 3, 165 Seventh Avenue.
Bill initially worked as a paralegal while studying at McAuliffe Williams & Partners, a commercial and insurance firm.
After completing university in 2001, he spent 6 months working in a King Edward Memorial Hospital Enquiry.
Between 2002 and 2005, Bill completed his articles of clerkship, travelled to Africa and America and even worked as a jackaroo at the Midland Cattleyards as well as at Roy Hill Statement which all led to Bill discovering his true passion for law.
Bill worked at Tait & Co Business lawyers in 2005 before taking up a position at the Insurance Comission of Western Australia in which he assisted in the 'Bell Group' case of 2006.
From 2007 to 2009, Bill was the principal solicitor at the Midland Information Debt and Advocacy Service, MIDLAS, which specialised in representing domestic violence victims in family and restraining order matters.
Bill established WLM Legal as a sole practitioner in 2009 and oversaw it's expansion into Inglewood in 2015.
Jo is our part time receptionist and the first point of contact for our clients.
Jo has experience working in a corporate design firm in an adminstrative capacity and works on a part time basis with WLM Legal.
In her spare time, Jo enjoys yoga and painting.
Paul joined the WLM Legal team in early 2016. He has since graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce and after finishing his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice was admitted as a barrister and solicitor in the Supreme Court of Western Australia on 2 August 2019.
Paul has developed a keen aptitude for family law matters. He also brings with him a wealth of practical commercial knowledge having chaired a private school board for multiple years and continues to hold management committee and director roles on various boards. Paul is also active in the wider community serving as a committee member on several community and sporting groups.
Paul is fluent in both English and Greek and in his spare time he likes to play soccer and go fishing.
At WLM Legal we operate on an hourly fee structure for all of our Family Law matters.
Our rates are highly competitive and we pride ourselves on offering a top quality service for rates below what many other prominent Family Law firms charge.
Our experienced Family Lawyers are able to discuss our rates with you in greater detail and provide rough estimates for expected fees during our initial appointments.
